Bifurcated Bodoni by EM Foundry

Bifurcated typefaces have been in existence for hundreds of years, said to be first used Pagans in the Catacombs of Rome (about 400AD) it is thought that this different style of typography was to distance there selves from the ruling religious power of the time. The Pagans used both bifurcated and trifurcated writing styles, although nowadays they are rarely seen.
